I hate dressing up, sweats, jeans, 20 year old t-shirts are who I am. I needed a dress for my son's wedding, I bought 5 and asked my other son (not the groom) what he thought (my husband's standard answer is "if you like it, I like it" which is no help). My son's (not the groom) replies were brutal - "it's a wedding, not a funeral", "you're 50, not 80", "that is the ugliest dress I've ever seen", "I will act like I don't know you if wear that" and "I'll ask my girlfriend to take you shopping". Then he sent me a link to this dress.I returned the other dresses and bought this one. I loved everything about it. It fit almost perfectly, I had to have the tank straps lifted ($20 for the seamstress). I was comfortable in the dress for 10+ hours: pre-wedding pictures, ceremony, more pictures, cocktail hour and reception. And it wasn't too flashy, sparkly or glittery. I could not have been happier!
