These are beautifully made shoes - leather lined and artfully designed - very fashionable and attention to detail. I had to return them becausethe back of the shoe where it hits my ankle is very stiff and unforgiving - the shoe itself is comfortable but it is this stiff ankle leather that makesit hard to walk in. The body of the shoe is a pleasure - the laces help a wearer control the fit - for me, it was almost a homerun. It is thistight ankle leading into a throughly comfortable shoe that is the enigma - there might be some breaking in time needed but it did not feel likethe shoe would soften around the ankle to any significant extent in the summertime. Again, I love the shoe - it almost fit me well. Could bemy experience - hard to tell. Great service by Amazon - excellent on all counts.
